Donna Wroth - Executive Officer

Donna commenced her employment as Executive Officer in February 2009.  Donna and her family have recently moved to the South West from Esperance and brings with her a wealth of knowledge of the VET sector, having managed the TAFE equivalent and worked within the Apprenticeship & Traineeship sector for some years.  She has a strong history with the Local Community Partnership network, having been a founding Board member for the Esperance LCP.  Donna has a Diploma of Business Management as well as a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and is looking forward to building partnerships within the South West to support youth in their successful transition from school to work and beyond.

Carolyn Newman - Finance and Administration Officer

Carolyn joined our team in July 2006. Her background is finance based having worked in banking, accounts and administration roles in financial planning, hospitality and most recently, the wine industry. She is currently completing her Diploma in Accounting - Financial Services.

James Thomas - Project Officer for Bunbury and Preston Regions

James joined the team following an extensive career with the Royal Australian Air Force.  With a technical trade background, James, over recent years, has held a variety of roles including project and training management and was instrumental in the introduction of the Air Force’s Technical Competency Assessment Scheme (TCAS).  Recent employment within Defence Force Recruiting has provided James with an insight into the issues facing young people today as they move through and beyond school.  James is currently completing studies in Small Business Management and has completed the Australian Career Development Studies units.

Lynda Spencer - Project Officer for Vasse and Blackwood Regions

Lynda Spencer commenced her appointment on the 8th of December 2008 after successfully completing a contract as a Project Officer for the South West Area Consultative Committee managing the Building Entrepreneurship in Small business Succession Planning Project for Small Business Owners in the South West and Peel regions. Lynda has come to South West VETlink with experience as the owner and manager of a highly successful thoroughbred horse stud, as a secondary school Science Teacher, and as a Primary School Teacher.  Lynda has a Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Education, Certificate lll in Financial Services and Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment. Lynda has completed the Australian Career Development Studies units.

Susan Main - Project Officer

Susan trained as an English teacher and has worked in the classroom and as a Head of Learning Area in secondary schools in Perth, Mandurah, London, Kenya, Port Hedland and Bunbury.  Susan also spent three years as a Project Manager at Western Desert Puntukurnuparna Aboriginal Corporation, located in Port Hedland, accessing services for the Martu people in Indigenous communities throughout remote parts of WA.  She has also worked previously for the Hedland District Education Office as a Retention and Participation Officer, encouraging students to re-engage in the learning process.
Susan was employed by South West VETlink as a contracted Project Officer in June 2008.  She manages Workplace Learning inductions for the Bunbury region and provides assistance in a number of other projects.  Outside of her work with South West VETlink, Susan is also involved in managing the Indigenous Girls Sports Academy at Newton Moore Senior High School.
